Where to go with all the fear? Animal spirits and other guides

There is a lot of fear on the planet and there is a lot of new energy emerging asking us to step forward in our light.   When we enter the unknown of our own being, we are called to trust and allow the unfolding and yet often our fears and wounds reemerge in the process: anxiety, depression, addictions, physical diseases and other imbalances will show up. Our expansion (soul) brings forth contraction (ego).  States of contraction are based in fear and states of expansion are based in love.  It is easy to fall back into patterns that no longer serve us in this time and get stuck in our fears instead of following love.  In order for us to fully step into the light of our being, we need to be able to face our fears and embrace our shadows.  This can be overwhelming and very confusing if we try to do it on our own. The resources of nature – our mother earth – are here to assist us in the longing to be more fully connected and live from the place of the heart within the matrix of the universe, respecting all beings.  Engaging in practices such as yoga, meditation, Qigong, spending time in nature and truly listening to the energy of trees, plants, animals, the waters, the sun and the moon, can support us to transcend our identification with the ego. There are guides that can support our growth- our need to be connected to our soul: healers, therapists, body workers, energy workers, artists, shamans as well as animals.  Connecting with animal spirits is a powerful gateway to not feeling alone in our quest for the truth and dark nights of the soul.  They are here to teach and remind us of our true calling, to be […] Read more »

A time to honor our unknown ancestors

It is Samhain. It's the time of the year when the air is crisp and cold. Our harvests are done. It is the time when we here in the Western Hemisphere can gather the last of what we had planted so many months ago. With the final harvest, this is a time to understand that there is life in death and death in life. As a priestess of Wicca and a student of Ifa, this time of year is wonderful and divine for me. I have come to understand the circle of life and the thin line between the living and the dying. That's what this time of the year is for me. The other night I was sitting with my fellow sister priestess's of Terra's Temple. We were telling the tales of our ancestors remembering those that we have already connected to or hoping to connect with on a deeper level. I recall my story one of  my own desire to connect with my paternal grandmother who was lost to the family when my father was 11. I never knew her, like so many in my extended family that left before my birth. The roots of my family tree are deep and dark. They reach across the Pacific to the lands that have colonized by Kings and Queens from so many other nations. The roots branch out over this land, digging deep to the indigenous souls that are still walking this earth. There are places where the roots go to that I don't even know and can't imagine. These peoples are the peoples that are unknown to me. I don't know their names and I don't know their faces. I have no information or family documents to pull out of the archives. I only have access to the manifestos […] Read more »

Myra Jackson coming to Terra’s Temple!

Myra Jackson coming to Terra's Temple, by Aumatma I met Myra Jackson a few months back as my partner and I traveled the country. She actually organized a film-screening event that brought in about 70 people. Not only was that incredible, she did it with extreme grace and efficiency. That was my introduction to Myra Jackson. She is an incredibly established woman who has done many things in many fields. Asking her questions about her life story was fascinating- I kept being surprised by the incredible depth of life experience she brought with her. Then, I learned she was in the midst of writing a book, Living Alchemy of Synthesis and Distinction, that seemed very connected to the divine  feminine earth consciousness. So, I told her about Terra's Temple, an awe-some sanctuary dedicated to Gaia and immediately we had a deep connection! I invited her to come to the Temple to share about her book and mission as we parted ways and she said yes! So... the opportunity has arrived to host Myra, a well-distinguished leader, to gain from her wisdom and experience. I'm so looking forward to our time with her on Monday, October 4th at 7pm!
